Guardrail knockdowns

Street furniture often bears the brunt of vehicular impacts. Guardrails are one of the most ubiquitous and regularly impacted street assets in the UK, found at pedestrian crossings, busy highways and residential areas.

As a segregation measure, the guardrail will inevitably be hit, incurring maintenance costs for local authorities including traffic management, civil works, and replacing the damaged guardrail. However, it doesn't have to mean that.

NAL's RS50x60 and RS50x50 Retention Sockets are the perfect solution for installing guardrail. Unlike traditional methods, these reusable foundations can withstand repeated collisions without losing strength. So, when a guardrail gets hit, it's simply removed from the sockets, leaving the foundation intact and ready for a replacement to be installed. This reduces maintenance costs and minimises disruption.
