St Richard's Hospice Fundraiser
We're excited to share an update on our sponsorship of St Richard's Hospice fundraising event, the 'Waddle of Worcester'. We have recently worked with a local school, Christopher Whitehead Language College, of whom some of our staff are ex-students or have children attending.
Christopher Whitehead Language College Design Competition
At the start of the year, we briefed the students on creating a design to be featured on our Penguin Chick sculpture. We were amazed by the enthusiastic response and received over 50 fantastic student submissions. To select the top three designs, the school held a house competition, which was a challenging feat given the students' high standard of art and design skills.
After careful consideration, we're proud to announce the winners of the competition:
Third place - Ellie
Second place - Izzy
First place - Nina
As the winners, all three students will paint Nina's design onto the blank Penguin Chick sculpture in the coming weeks. The final sculpture will be displayed as part of the 'Waddle of Worcester' fundraising event later this summer.
We want to thank all the students who took the time to create a design and showcase their creativity and skills. It was an absolute pleasure to see all the submissions.
Sponsor Activation Workshop
Earlier this week, we took part in a Sponsor Activation Workshop held at the esteemed Worcester Guild Hall. Hosted by Sara Matthews and Claire Loveday from St Richard’s Hospice, as well as Sarah Harvey, Trail Director for Wild In Art, the workshop served as a platform for sponsors of The Great Waddle of Worcester to come together and brainstorm marketing initiatives for the upcoming fundraising event.
We had the opportunity to network with fellow sponsors and exchange ideas aimed at maximising the impact of our participation in the event, discussing innovative approaches to raise awareness and generate excitement throughout the organisation and our wider community.
