Weebol Bollard
Aberdeen
Requiring a replacement for an internally illuminated keep-left bollard (situated on the A956 at a “T” Junction) Aberdeen City Council approached NAL to provide a superior solution for the existing model.
Subject to vehicular impacts, which often result in costly maintenance processes and disruption to motorists, the Council specified the NAL Weebol Reflective Bollard as the optimum system. In this instance, upon the removal of the existing keep-left bollard and cabling, the base of the internal uplighter was utilised to install the shallow foundation Retention Socket (positioned to suit the required orientation of the Weebol) ahead of securing with concrete. The Weebol was then simply placed into the Socket and secured by tightening the retaining bolts situated within the side chamber.
