Temporary Products
Everton Stadium, Bramley-Moore Docks, Liverpool
Construction work for the new £500m Everton Stadium has been ongoing since July 2021 in the Bramley-Moore Docks, with a completion date set for late 2024. As with any large-scale development, highway infrastructure surrounding the site is affected, and a temporary 3-way junction was required at the Regent Road entrance.
When it comes to the selection of suitable temporary signals, it’s natural to consider the criteria used by planners. Reliability and longevity are essential for long-term projects such as the Everton Stadium, which is why the NAL Temporary Foundation was the ideal choice for this scheme.
These EN40-rated foundations are pre-cast, highly stable, and designed to bespoke requirements based on the column size, weight, and height specified by the customer.
Each foundation features a NAL Retention Socket that accommodates the desired column size and, in this case, an RS115 that houses standard traffic signal poles. There aremultiple lifting options available, including screw fixings for lifting loops and forklift voids, which make transportation on-site easier.
The NAL controller cabinet base was also utilised in a provisional capacity to support this long-term, temporary junction, operating to the same standard as a permanent traffic signal junction.
This system facilitates the cabling of the temporary signal poles. Each pole is positively connected via underground ducting, which feeds directly to the site's controller via the cable gland tray within the cabinet base plinth.
Once this project concludes, all the products used are easily moved to storage until they are required for future schemes.
Together, these NAL systems cohesively provide a seamless temporary solution, giving the client peace of mind knowing this junction will function safely and reliably for the duration of this project.
