Retention Sockets

Worcestershire County Council installed NAL Retention Sockets in a number of refuge islands on the busy A44 near Peopleton, Worcestershire for keep-left signage posts.  

Due to the nature of this road street furniture is at high risk of vehicular collision. By installing the signage in Retention Sockets it allows the quick and simple removal and replacement of signs with minimal traffic management and personnel.

The Retention Socket completely eliminates the need for further civils installations providing significant long-term maintenance cost savings to the local authority.

Additionally, the Retention Socket allows rotation of the signage before the post is locked into place, enabling the orientation to be adjusted to the optimum position.
